Hey, how are you? Trust that you are good? Everyone is busy with the Food Allergy Awareness Week 2013. Thank God, I don’t need to worry, I won’t get such allergies:P. May 13th-19th is marked as Food Allergy Awareness Week, which enlightens food allergies and its hindrances. This week is noted by FARE (Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network) in 1998. Nearly 15 million people in the U.S. suffer from food allergies.

It is recognized that more than 160 foods have naturally-occurring proteins causing severe allergic reactions. Some common foods such as peanuts, milk, soy, eggs, wheat, fish, etc produce 90 percent of food allergies.

Food allergies are increasing tremendously. Researchers still try to understand more about it and its cause. It is not only direct foods that cause allergic reactions, even minute traces of food residue can bring in its reactions. Its symptoms are throat swelling, vomiting, respiratory issues and even death.

According to the regulation, food producers are asked to label products that includes allergens. Their risks are hard to discard but possible to manage. It is necessary for everyone including kids to know about their food allergy and prevention. In case of kids, it is the responsibility of adults to know how to overcome the possibility of a reaction, how to recognize as it happens and how to respond.

If you know that you’re allergic to certain food, your doctor will help you sort it out. And yes how can I forget about my shop, Jon can help you with the allergy bracelet specific to your allergy. It is not a curing technique but it helps others to identify your allergy in case you’re in an uneven situation. So, don’t forget me. Woof!! Burton.
